We recommend Botox® to those with wrinkles and lines on their face and neck. Botox® just like other aesthetic treatments works to reduce and eliminate crows feet, however it is not a good fit for those who are allergic to any ingredients in Botox®, have a rash at the injection site, are pregnant or breastfeeding, are on blood thinners, or have highly sensitive skin. At any given Botox® appointment, we start off by deciding how much Botox® you need and at which areas of the face. Then the specialist will mark those areas and use a micro-needle to inject Botox directly into the facial muscles. It is normal to feel mild discomfort at first, if you need you can ask your specialist to apply some numbing cream or ice to the injection site to reduce any potential swelling. JUVÉDERM® is a dermal filler which works to volumize cheeks, smooth facial wrinkles and lines around the mouth, and even plump the lips. If any of these factors seem enticing to you than JUVÉDERM® could be a great fit for you. Keep in mind that if you have a history of severe skin related allergic reactions, or if you are allergic to Gram-positive bacterial proteins used to make hyaluronic acid in JUVÉDERM® than you should reconsider.
Unlike Botox® and Xeomin®, JUVÉDERM® is not a neurotoxin injection but a dermal filler, this simply means that it works to smooth out lines and wrinkles on the mid to lower half of the face in comparison to nerutoxin injections which enhance the upper area of the face.
After going over your medical history and undergoing a facial analysis, our health care professional will determine the best course of action. Over the course of a few minutes the JUVÉDERM® gel injection will be implanted in the section of skin being treated, and we will provide numbing cream or ice if you desire.

Any given treatment will take around 10-15 minutes, during which our NP Sona will inject the precise units of Xeomin® into the patient's glabellar lines. No anesthetics are necessary during this procedure, as only mild discomfort with be felt. However, if your discomfort is extreme let your health care professional know and they will address it with some numbing cream or an ice pack until the pain subsides.
A little less than a week after the procedure, you can expect to see smoother wrinkles. One month after treatment is when patients view the most change. Depending on patient to patient these results can last more or less than 2-4 months. Thereafter you can come back for another treatment.
